David Van Horn, the plaintiff, filed his case in the Eighth Judicial District Circuit Court of Nevada, articulating allegations of negligence and breach of duty against the hotel for failing to maintain the safety of his accommodations. On November 26, 2023, while staying at the Luxor with his wife, Van Horn says he experienced an unexpected electric shock after attempting to turn on a lamp.
